In a rare, warm summer day last Thursday, Dick Mattress withstood the challengers for the trophy and emerged victorious with 27 points. Richard Platt chased hard for second on 26. Michael Munns returned and ran third on 25. The club ran a pennant trial on Sunday. Some regular bowlers were away but, as usual, the ladies came to the rescue and filled in. Thanks to Maureen, Yvonne and Lorraine for their efforts. Social bowls are on again this Thursday at 12.30pm.
