Despite a disrupted 2020, a number of sports went ahead in modified fashion and the awards on January 26 will recognise their efforts.
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Senior sportsperson of the year
- Junior sportsperson of the year (18 years and under)
- Junior sportsperson of the year (12 years and under)
- Sporting team of the year
- Club person of the year
"It's about getting involved and getting behind it even though there were limited sports that took to the field," Boorowa Australia Day Committee President, John Snelling said.
Outside of the awards, there will also be a few competitions on Australia Day to take part in.
The annual Australia Day bowls competition will kick off at 1.30pm at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club.
Later in the afternoon, tee off with golf at the Boorowa Recreation Club from 5.30pm.
