It is planned to have informal table tennis sessions for anyone interested and players of any standard will be welcome.
This is a sport which is regarded as excellent for improving hand and eye coordination as well as the mood of the participants, increasing physical fitness, instilling confidence and contributing to positive weight loss.
It is considered to be a fun form of exercise in which the risk of injury is quite low.
The first sessions will be held next Tuesday, December 8, between 10am and 12 noon, and anyone with any questions can phone Derrick Mason on 0427 853 213.
Recycle Cafe at St John's Hall
Meanwhile, the Recycle Cafe in St John's Hall is open on Tuesdays between 9am and 12 noon to receive plastic bottle tops to be used for charitable purposes.
Bread tags are also collected to provide funds for wheelchairs, and soft plastics for transfer to REDcycle for the manufacture of a number of useful items.
Items for the Recycle Cafe can be dropped in at anytime during the week, as a bin is available at the front of the hall.
