Talented Rye Park teenager Clare Flick and Boorowa's Abby Grant will be turning out for Woodbridge in the 2020 women's tackle rugby league competition which kicks off in Grenfell this weekend.

Clare and Abby are the only Boorowa district players representing Woodbridge which is fielding under 13, 14s, 16s, 18s and an open team in the competition.
Both girls will be members of the Woodbridge under 16s team which consists of girls from Forbes, Lake Cargelligo, Young, Parkes, Canowindra, Cowra, Condobolin, Molong and Grenfell.
The team is coached by Gary Hewen of Grenfell.
The competition is a regional event made up of six clubs from Bathurst/Lithgow (Panorama Platypi), Orange/Blayney (The Vipers), Dubbo/Parkes (Wiradjuri Goannas), Mudgee/Gulgong (Midwest Brumbies), Castlereagh Cup teams like Gilgandra, Coonamble etc (The Cougars), and the 10 Woodbridge teams (The Woodies).
In this weekend's first round Woodbridge takes on MidWest Brumbies at Grenfell.
Grenfell will be hosting two rounds of the competition at Henry Lawson Oval this season kicking off with this Sunday's match and then hosting the Vipers on Sunday, November 8.
The game times for the Brumbies games are, Under 13s (10.00am), 14s (11.10am), 16s (12.20pm), 18s (1.40pm), and Opens (3.00pm).
