You've probably heard: United States president Donald Trump has tested positive for coronavirus, with authorities using the diagnosis to remind the public no one is immune.
After months of downplaying the seriousness of the virus which has killed more than 209,000 Americans, the White House is at the centre of its own outbreak confirming on Saturday Mr Trump was in hospital.
Closer to home, even more signs emerged this week Australian life is returning to something closer to normal.
While people from most states welcomed news they would soon travel further, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian voiced her frustration with Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk's decision to stand firm against NSW.
"It is frustrating for me that WA and Queensland keep lumping us in with Victoria," Ms Berejiklian told reporters on Saturday.
The jab was delivered on another day of no community transmission of COVID-19 for NSW or QLD, with the northern state's health minister Steven Miles declaring it a great result.
Queenslanders were allowed to stand in bars to eat and drink for the first time in 10 weeks on Friday after restrictions were eased.
"We have proven the strength of our response time and time again here in Queensland," Mr Miles said.
Victorians weren't included in the increased travel conversation much this week, with three more deaths taking the state's toll to 805.
For those of you on long weekends or school holidays whether interstate or in lockdown, stay safe.
