In what was perfect weather conditions coach Andrew Corcoran said the biggest challenge was the heat.
"It really zapped us following the blizzard conditions of the previous Saturday," he said.
"We were putting sunscreen on, so it was quite contrasting conditions from the week before, but it was great, a beautiful day with no wind.
"We started really strong., we got three or four tries on the board really quick and that gave us the ability to make changes like we hoped and try a few things we had been working on, which was great.
"I got to take a few players that have been playing a fair bit of minutes off and give them a bit of a freshen up, and I was able to give a few of the players that haven't been playing as much some more time, which is awesome."
Boorowa will now host the Young Yabbies in the semi final, with the victor to play the winner of Harden vs Cootamundra in the grand final.
Corcoran said with no injuries coming out of their final regular season match, player selection was a going to be a difficult task for him.
"Especially having no injuries we should be in pretty good shape to go hard at Young on Saturday," he said
"I've got some tough decisions because I have a very strong squad and have players on the bench that would normally start.
"Mark Poplin lost his spot but came off the bench on the weekend and had a blinder so I have some very tough decisions but it's good.
"I took 23 players to Condobolin, that would probably never repeat in history, so it's been a fun season."
Cocoran said, given the quality of their regular season fixture, the match could go either way.
"We had a really good arm wrestle against them last time," he said.
"I think it was 17 all and we were on our line defending for a good 10 minutes and held them out before we scored two late tries to beat them.
"So we know we can do it but they would have left that game thinking they could of had us.
"I think Young is going to be pretty excited for the challenge of us and they'll think they can beat us so it's going to be a great game."
He said his players we equally keen and were working on what they could control.
"They are really excited and pumped they know that one their day they can beat anyone, so its just a matter of getting those cogs turning and executing," he said.
"We'll tweak a few things just because of how young our players are but overall we know what we have to do.
"We've been our own worst enemy in the games we've lost, we gave away too much ball or we didn't play tactically smart.
"So we'll be worrying about our own game more than anything. Young has some talented players and we'll be managing them, but overall we have to worry about ourselves."
He said the side had taken a lot out of their finals appearance last year.
"Last year we were probably thinking a week ahead when we played and lost to Condobolin in the prelim," he said.
"So we'll take a lot of lessons from that, try and execute, not panic and worry about this game first.
"If we get the privilege we'll worry about next week after that."
With more perfect spring conditions forecast for this weekend, he said spectators would be treated to some exciting rugby.
"It suits our game a little bit more, having the dry track, but it suits Young just as much," he said.
"So it's probably going to be more entertaining rugby from both teams because of it.
"It will be great for the fans and if the wind stays away it will be even better, which it looks like it could do."
He said that while they would love to have a strong crowd, they still needed to maintain COVID safe practices.
"I'm sure there is going to be a lot of interest so we've got to help our volunteers and keep everyone safe," he said.
"Don't take it personally if we ask you to separate and spread out as much as we can.
"It's going to be a great day so there's no reason why we can't spread out around the park."
He said the whole Oilsplus South West Cup had been privileged to play this year.
"We've been really lucky with our comp because I don't think there would have been many in Australia that have every team still playing," he said.
"Most comps in this area have had a team have a year off.
"So we've been pretty lucky to have all eight teams, all with strong numbers and competitive, so it's been a great year."
Corcoran said the 2020 season had been an interesting one for all involved.
"It's been weird because we've always been looking over our back that they could cancel the season at any point," he said.
"Which could have happened when they made the zones up a few weeks ago, I was like 'we're definitely stuffed now', but we got through that.
"It's been a bit strange thinking they could pull the rug out from us at any point, but we pretty confident with the numbers that we'll be able to get to the finish line which is great."
