Last weekend saw Boorowa Junior Rugby League host its first home game for the season against Junee.
There were a number of firsts for a lot of players, first games, first tries, first tackle, first tag, first win and first loss.
The end result was not important as it was just great to see the children out enjoying the game they love.
A big thank you must go to all our volunteers who helped out on the day, without their help the day would not have run so smoothly.
During the off season we were fortunate enough to acquire funding through the NSW government community drought assistance. This has meant that Boorowa Junior Rugby League have been able to cover the cost for training of coaches, sports trainers and referees.
Because of this Boorowa Junior Rugby League has this year got a number of up and coming refs who debuted on Saturday.
This Saturday sees us at home again, against Cootamundra.
