THE Murrumbidgee has had its first confirmed coronavirus case with a person in the Border region testing positive.

NSW Health has advised that a 41-year-old male recently returned home from an overseas holiday and has tested positive.
"The patient has been interviewed to identify his travel paths and potential contacts and anyone who has been in contact with this patient will be notified," Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) said in a statement on Sunday evening.
"The patient is in self isolation and has taken measures to ensure he does not transmit the virus."
The MLHD said this was the first positive result returned from 538 people tested for COVID-19 in this local health district.
The MLHD has appealed to members of the public to practice good hand hygiene and social distancing.
