The event will run from 9am till 4pm and includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Speakers include:
- Dr Nola Hancock - Macquarie University Department of Biological Sciences. Climate ready re-vegetation and how it should be viewed differently in the changing climate.
- Dr Susan Orgill - NSW Department of Primary Industries Professional Officer (Soils). Effect of grazing management and land use on organic matter cycling and soil carbon.
- Richard Hayes - NSW Department of Primary Industries Pastures Research Scientist. Productivity and sustainability benefits of incorporating perennial species into agricultural landscapes.
- Matt Lieschke - Local Land Services South East, Livestock officer. Harnessing the power of soil moisture monitoring and tips and lessons to heed when setting up and operating containment feeding systems.
- Geoff Casburn - NSW Department of Primary Industries, Sheep Development Officer. How to use the decision-support app, Drought and Supplementary Feed Calculator.
The discussion session will be MC'd by HCLG chairperson Dr Gordon Refshauge.
