Songs of Hope, the yearly feast of choir singing in St Patrick's Church, which raises funds for the Young-Boorowa Branch of Can Assist, will again take place this year on Sunday, April 19.

There will be a few changes to the usual format this year, with the possible appearance of a small group representing the Royal Military College, Duntroon, ACT.
The Australian Rugby Choir will this year be giving a performance in Cowra on April 18, along with the Duntroon group, and will round off the weekend with their performance at Songs of Hope.

Choirs from Young, Boorowa, Yass and Canberra are expected, presenting another wonderful Sunday afternoon of song.
Prior to the concert weekend, Can Assist members at Young and Boorowa will be conducting a fund-raising raffle offering a valuable prize, which will be drawn at the April 19 concert.
The Boorowa M&D choir, whose members perform at the concert, and assist with its organisation and presentation, began rehearsals this week in preparation for their performance.

This choir is always looking for new members, so if you can carry a tune and enjoy singing, you will be very welcome at the weekly rehearsals which take place at 5pm at the Uniting Church hall.
Singing is a wonderful pastime, and membership of a community choir is a very rewarding experience.
