Forty-nine keen eyed shooters attended the competition with people travelling from as far away as Sydney and Wangaratta to contest the events on offer.
A hot and sunny day with only light wind provided excellent shooting conditions.
The calm conditions provided for plenty of red on the board with no less than seven possibles (50/50) being shot for the first event of the day.
The 50 Target Hilltops Double Barrel Championships overall prize was won by Tony Barton with a shoot off score of 43/43.

AA 1st place went to Grady Evans who scored a 42/43 in the shoot off.
Rohan Fleming from Goulburn came 2nd in AA.
Tony Gray from Victoria was 1st in A grade, with second in A grade after a shoot off going to Ray Welch.
B grade was won by Boorowa's own Adam Reid with Alannah Jarvis coming second.
The competition in C grade was of a high quality on the day and both Ian Crisp and Geoffrey Mason first and second respectively made their way up to B grade at the end of the days shooting.
The second event of the day seemed like a good idea at the time but unfortunately ended up creating some confusion, especially in relation to the scoring of the shoot offs.
The event consisted of a 25 target point score and 25 target Double barrel shot as the one event.
Jason Winters skinned the event with the only 100/100.
David Jarvis was first in AA grade on 99/100 after defeating Darcy Maloney in the shoot off with a 20/20 shoot off score.
Ray Schiller continued some good form to win A grade with a 99/100.
Adam Reid won B grade with a 94/100 in the event and a shoot off score of 20/20 defeating Kate Thistleton.
Event 2 C grade was won by Geoffrey Mason with 89/100 Geoffrey also went up to B Grade at the end of the Days competition.
The overall High Gun went to Darcy Maloney on 149/150 with some great shooting.
Darcy shot all 100 targets for the day and was only one point down.
The clubhouse proved a very welcome refuge from the January sun and as usual fantastic food was available including bacon and egg rolls, lunch and afternoon tea.

Mervyn Campbell was our shoot marshal for the day and it was great to see him in action as he has been missed by one and all.
