President of the Boorowa Australia Day Committee, John Snelling, said he was pleased with the nomination in each of the categories.
This year Senior Sportsperson of the Year received three nominations, Junior Sportsperson of the Year (18 years and under) received four nominations, Junior Sportsperson of the Year (12 years and under) received four nomination, Club Person of the Year received two nominations while Sporting team of the Year received one nomination.
Nominated for club Person of the Year was Brian Giles-Browne and Sharon Hinds, Mr Snelling said it was a close contest between the two.

'A club can't exist without a good club person and for this award the results were very, very close," he said.
"The ones that missed out were very unlucky. This was the case with the Club Person of the Year, it was a tight one and went to Brian Giles-Browne."
Nominated for Junior Sportsperson of the Year (18 years and under) was Jacob Piper, Mackella Pye, Imogen Pye and Joseph Prosper.
Nominated for Junior Sportsperson of the Year (12 years and under) was Harry Dymock, Blake Cross, Preston Harris and Archie Gay.
Again Mr Snelling said it was a close competition in both of the categories.
"Its really surprising what the young people and older people can do in their sporting endeavors here in Boorowa," he said.
"I said some of these awards were very close this one was very, very tight. The Junior Sportsperson of the Year 12 years and under in a tight finish was Preston Harris.
"Again we've had another very tight one in the Junior Sportsperson of the Year, 18 and under, went to Jacob Piper," he said.

While there was only one nomination for Sporting Team of the Year, Mr Snelling said it was a very good one going to the Boorowa Rovers senior Rugby League team.
Nominated for Senior Sportsperson of the Year was Brendan McGrath, Brett Stanford and Josh Carmody.
Mr Snelling said voting had been surprising in this category.
"For Senior Sportsperson of the Year we had three nominations and would you believe the voting was seven, six, five that's how close it was," he said.
"But there can only be one winner an this year it was Josh Carmody."
