The ten machines, which totaled $30,000, were part of the branch's annual community grants program.

Nine of the defibrillators were provided to the following businesses and organisations:
- Boorowa Early Education Centre
- Boorowa Ex-Services Club
- Boorowa IGA
- Binalong Swimming Pool
- Boorowa Gun Club
- Caltex Service Station
- Rye Park Red Cross (for Rye Park Community Hall)
- Bendigo Community Bank - outdoor Defib
- Carinya Court Aged and Disabled Complex
A 10th "roving unit" is available from the Boorowa Community Bank, which can be borrowed for community events.

An education night was held at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club on November 26, led by Sue Buckman from "Defib for Life".
Ms Buckman was recently awarded a Pride of Australia Medal for her work, with her charity distributing 3700 defibrillators across the nation.
