Local war veteran Gary is putting out a call to local vets to meet and chew the fat.
Gary is suggesting a catch up for coffee, dinner, whatever, he also suggests it would be a yarn with folks sharing their unique bond, with no formalities, expectations, constitution, judgement, leadership or ranks.
It is hoped to have a regular catch up enabling sharing of experiences, venting of frustrations and helping each other where necessary.
The first coffee catch up is scheduled for 10am Wednesday, December 11 at the Pantry on Pudman.
Gary would love to hear from local veterans and is available for information on 0428 921 654.
If transport is a problem, don't let that put you off.

After careful planning a thief in Paris got past security and stole some valuable paintings from the Louvre.
He made it safely to his van, but was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas (petrol).
When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make an obvious error, he replied, "Monsieur, that is the reason I stole the paintings. I had no Monet, to buy Degas, to make the Van Gogh. I have de Gaulle to tell you this because I've nothing Toulouse."

Now who doesn't like a challenge?
Who doesn't like to support a good cause?
Here it is.
Four men and one woman are going to take it all off for a very good charity or two, being Beyond Blue and Breast Cancer.
This is all going to happen Saturday, December 21 at the Court House Hotel.
George Evans, Ned Evans, Perce Gorham, Billy Horne and Stacey Barker will all line up to take it off - hair and beards that is.
Stacey, of course, doesn't have a beard, but does have plenty of hair to shed.
Now Howard and Virginia Horne are getting right behind this and are donating $500 to these charities.
Howard challenges all other Boorowa businesses to match it.
If you'd like to get involved or would like more information give George Evans a ring on 0432 208 728

Motor racing is very popular, apparent each October when thousands flock to Bathurst to watch the V8s battle it out over 1000km reaching speeds of up to 300kph.
When did this obsession with fast automobiles begin?
On this day in 1895 America's first Auto Race was run. Organised by the "Chicago Times-Herald', six cars raced from Chicago to Evanston and back, a total of 55 miles.
Averaging a staggering 7mph (11kph), Frank Duryea was the winner driving a Duryea Motor Wago Company vehicle.
