Graham Jones has been officially made the school's Principal, while Christine Hawkins has been appointed acting Deputy Principal.
The pair say they are both excited about their new positions and keen to showcase the school in the community.
"I'm really excited about the challenge ahead. My vision for the school would be that for every student that leaves, whether it's at the end of Year 10, Year 11 or 12, they will have the skills to succeed and thrive in any career in the future," Mr Jones said.
"To not only give them the core literacy and numeracy skills but also equip them with those future focused skills of problem solving, critical thinking, evaluating, working with others, communicating ideas, creating and innovating that will ensure that they are flexible, dynamic and an asset to any career," he said.
Mr Jones said he was hoping to be a principal that's highly visible in all parts of the school and community.
"Next year is our 150th year at Boorowa Central School so I plan on showcasing where we've come from and where we are going to in the future.
"There will be high levels of participation in every community event and opportunities for community members to come in and be part of the teaching and learning in the school.
"I would like our students to be more invested in the community, being teenagers that's an area that can be developed and get them to think outside of their bubble," he said.
Mr Jones said he's also looking for opportunities to support parents in their ability to raise a child in a 21st century world.
"Having parent sessions in the library where we can provide information about specific issues such as cyber safety, digital awareness, balancing green and screen time," he said.
"We as parents weren't given the skills to navigate the minefields of devices, so with the educational background and training we go through as part of supporting our students, maybe we can provide the parents with helpful strategies as much as the kids."
Another idea includes encouraging the general public to utilise the school's facilities.
"For example one of our staff members is part of a local club in Boorowa so he's exploring the opportunity for the club to use our metals and engineering facility to complete a Certificate II in Metals and Engineering," Mr Jones said.
"They can then apply these skills in their homes and workshops with the additional benefit of providing a environment for like-minded individuals to share knowledge, skills and support" he said.
Ms Hawkins, who moved to the area six years ago and has a small beef property at Blakney Creek, said she was loving being back in a central school.
"I've previously been in Sydney schools, Yass High School, Stewart House School and Norfolk Island Central School," she said.
"Boorowa's a very different setting (compared to Norfolk) and I'm hoping next year to set up some links with the Norfolk Island Central School and other central schools.
"I see a school as the heart of the community and this gives us the opportunity to support families bringing up their children from pre-kindergarten right through to post HSC," she said
Ms Hawkins' teaching backgrounds are in Food Technology and Hospitality, student welfare and wellbeing and she has recently completed a Masters of Education in Special Education.
"I teach here within our Learning Hub to assist our students who might need further support to maximise their potential, from children who have learning needs up to and including students who are gifted and talented," she said.
"What I want from my role is to help our students be the best they can be as a learner, an individual and a community member," she said.
The pair said they were only too happy to chat with anyone from the community about the opportunities and successes of Boorowa Central School.
"I'm only ever a phone call or a quick chat away if there are any suggestions or questions you may have about the school," Mr Jones said.
"I'm very approachable and open to parents or community members coming in to see what the school is doing and how we are going about it."
"I echo Graham's sentiments in that my door is always open and I'm happy to meet and talk with parents about how Boorowa Central School can individualise learning for their children from Kindergarten through to Year 12," Ms Hawkins said.
"I don't yet know many people in this community but the more our doors are open and the more people come to us, the more we can showcase the great things that are always happening here at Boorowa Central School" she said.
