Everyone loves getting out in the orchards to pick fresh fruit straight from the tree.
This year there is also a continuing interest in our strawberries and other stone fruit when they come on stream.
Festival Countdown
Interest in the 70th National Cherry Festival is gaining pace with just five weeks to go before our Jubilee year event.
Young is known worldwide for its cherry harvest festival and programs are available locally and in Visitor Centres at many locations.
This year the festival is being held on December 6, 7 and 8.

Champions on Stage
Don't miss champion bush poets Mel and Susie perform at the Southern Cross Cinema on Saturday from 2pm.
What a great opportunity to enjoy this uniquely Australian entertainment is while the ladies are in the district conducting workshops in local schools.
Mel and Susie performed at Boorowa Ex-Services Club at the weekend and also dropped by at the Bush Poets and Take 5.
Murringo Village Fair and Country Music Muster
The Christmas edition of the Murringo Village Markets will be held this Sunday from 8am at the Murringo Community Hall.
There will be heaps of stalls offering cakes and gifts, great coffee and food, bric-a-brac, barbecues and lots more.
If you want a stall contact Tracey Patterson on 0428 989 699.
Of course the fair is run in conjunction with the Country Music Muster which sets a happy tone.
