Approximately 4300 children competed, with 49 schools involved on the day and 19 rounds of continuous play.
Participating schools came from Canberra, Queanbeyan, Braidwood, Goulburn, Temora, Cootamundra, Young, Murrumburrah, Binalong, Bowning, Wee Jasper as well as the local area.
Many children, teachers and parents left expressing thanks for a great day, adding they'd be back again next year despite the weather.
The carnival is not possible without the co-operation of both the Boorowa Central School and St Joseph's School communities. Many hours are spent in preparation for the carnival and both schools are very grateful for the support given to us by local secondary students.
We extend special thanks to the Hilltops Council for all of their assistance, Boorowa Community Bank, Boorowa Recreation Club, Boorowa Rugby Club, Netball NSW, Touch NSW and the many Boorowa community members who helped with vehicle parking and line marking.
A special thanks also goes to the barbecue cooks, canteen workers and those who provided first aid.
