It was disappointing that the Crocs didn't get a start, having a strong side selected and a home game but seven points for the win will prove useful.
The Gators played on the turf at Tim Doolan oval and were asked to field first after losing the toss.
They couldn't have wished for a better start claiming a wicket on the second ball of the match to have the locals 1/0.
However, Harden steadied and by the drinks break had reached 2/82 after 20 overs. Boorowa managed to contain Harden in the second half of the innings but couldn't dismiss the home team as Harden reached 7/160 off their allotted 40 overs.
Wicket takers for Boorowa were Nick Dwyer with 3/41, Archie Gay 2/14, Byron Campbell 1/25 and Brad Rose with 1/18.
In reply, the Boorowa innings was strangled by some tight Harden bowling as they crawled to 0/13 in the first ten overs. They lost their first wicket at 1/20 and by drinks had slumped to 4/42.
With another 118 required, the run rate began to climb at a rapid pace bringing a constant fall of wickets. Boorowa was eventually dismissed for 94 in e 36th over.
The top score for Boorowa was James Farrell with a useful 30 whilst many of the batsmen found the bowling and the slow low wicket very tough going. They will be better for the run and have dusted off the cobwebs from last season.
This weekend sees the Crocs at home for the second straight week, this time hoping to get a start against the Dalton Dingoes starting at 12.30pm on Saturday. Meanwhile the Gators hit the road again travelling to Binalong, also starting at 12.30pm.
So why not get down to the rec ground to support your local team or take a short drive across the plains to Binalong. See you at the cricket.
