The Annual Boorowa Combined Primary Shools Touch/Netball Carnival, run by St. Joseph's and Boorowa Central School, will once again bring a huge number of visitors into the local area, with 432 teams set to compete across the day.
Schools are coming from the surrounding towns of Young, Murrumburrah, Temora, Crookwell, Goulburn, Queanbeyan, Yass, Braidwood, Cootamundra, as well as many primary schools from across the ACT.
The aim of the Carnival is for the children to participate and enjoy the day, playing netball or touch football with their peers and friends, while also making sure kids get some activity outdoors.
Due to the large number of cars and buses the Hilltops Council have employed SJC Traffic Management to control the traffic, organisers have asked locals to please be aware that there will changed traffic conditions around the town to try and alleviate traffic congestion to the Showground.
Any community volunteers who could spare a few hours to assist with either car parking or work in the canteens are asked to contact either Boorowa Central (6385 3009) or St Joseph's (6385 3263).
The organisers wish to thank the Boorowa Community for their continuing support of the day.
