Board members and staff of Burrowa House invite the entire community to come along to the open day to view the facility and the plans for new dementia unit and furnishings.
Burrowa House board member, Phil Armitage, said the open day will also act as a fundraising activity for the facility, as well as provide information on aged care.
"We invite people to come and ask us questions about aged care and there are always lots of questions... it is a fairly hard process," he said.

Owen Rogerson of the Fundraising Committee said there will also be the opportunity for community members and businesses to "Buy A Brick".
"We've got gold bricks, silver bricks, platinum bricks, diamond bricks, however much you want to spend," he said.
"We're going to have a pathway... those bricks laid out on the ground like the stars in Hollywood."
Plans for the extension have been submitted to a private certifier and are expected to go out to tender in the next month, with construction set to begin in January 2020 using local tradespeople.
Business Manager Phil Coggins said the community has gotten behind the plans for the facility, which include an increase from 12 to 20 beds and a sensory garden for residents with dementia.
"I get comments everywhere I go that people are looking forward to having the extra facility up here and at the end of the day, one of our main goals is for local people to come here," he said.
"Like most places, we are very much an aging community, there's definitely the need for the additional eight beds and we'll fill those no trouble at all."
Mr Coggins said there are plans in place to purchase more land to the south for further expansion in the future, however the facility will need more donation to make it a reality.
"Certainly the community, since they've found out we've got the grant, have come on board and we've seen donations increase," he said.
"We've still got a long way to go, we just want to keep pushing."
