Wombat Bush Poets are set to bring Melanie Hall and Susie Carcary to local schools and the Boorowa Ex-Services Club.
Since forming a duo, Mel and Susie, in 2008, they have been entertaining adults and children for more than 10 years in venues ranging from corporate boardrooms to school classrooms and campfires.
They have given performances in every Australian state, toured New Zealand and performed at overseas events such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Along with performing traditional pieces, Mel and Susie also write and perform their own humourous and serious verse.
"We believe that writing and performing poetry stimulates imagination and can help improve self-esteem and self confidence," they said.
They have worked in schools in every state and territory, performing whole of school concerts or class tuition.
"Our approach to school sessions is tell, show and have students do," they said.
Mel and Susie will be visiting 15 Hilltops primary schools, including Boorowa Central School, St Joseph's and Rye Park, between Monday, October 21 and November 1.
They will also be performing at the Boorowa Ex-Services Club on Saturday, October 26 at 7pm.
