A very successful monthly competition was held at Boorowa Gun Club on a foggy Saturday, July 27. 48 shooters attended the competition with a great day out had by all.

The first event of the day was the Barry Cooper Memorial 25T HCP. The winner of the Handicap was Bob Churchill from Yass and the Trophy was presented by Barry's son, Casey Cooper. Terry Alho came second after an epic shoot off between himself and Kruno Luketic (third).
The Central Zone Mixed target/Dennis Smith Memorial event was generously sponsored by Veronica Smith of Boorowa. Angela Smith, who travelled from Bathurst to attend the shoot, presented the trophy to Tracey Barton who was the event's overall winner.
AA was won by Grady Evans, with second going to Kim Nealon from Cowra. First in A grade went to Steven Barros from Sydney and second place was won by Wendy Barton.
The third event of the day was the 30T SB Championship. OA was won by Grady Evans, AA first was Tracey Barton and second was Col O'leary. Meanwhile, Rex Murphy and Paul Deland were first and second in A Grade respectively.

If you are interested in having a try at Clay Target Shooting. The Boorowa Gun Club is open for practice for members and for beginners every Tuesday evening from 5.00 till 7.30pm. All Ages and abilities 12 years and up, Photo ID is required, and minors require a legal guardian present.
