Binalong and Boorowa always play spicy encounters regardless of their positions on the ladder and this match was no exception. It wasn't the prettiest game to watch with both sides making crucial errors, one of which prove fatal when it led to Dylan Arabin landing the one pointer for Binalong in the dying minutes.
Boorowa landed the first blow of the bout when Fullback Austin Power again showed how lethal he can be in attack scoring the opening try for a 4-0 lead. Binalong hit back before halftime to lead 6-4 at the break.
After halftime, Power scored his second try for the day to put the home side ahead by 10-6. Binalong replied with their second try and at 10-10 both sides were starting to run on fumes. Errors became an issue as both teams launch attacking raids. With time becoming an enemy, Binalong secured the one pointer when Dylan Arabin snapped a match winning field goal. Boorowa desperately regained the ball from the kick-off and looked to have almost scored a match winning try but it was to no avail as the full-time siren echoed across the ground.
Unfortunately for the Rovers, they continued to suffer some serious injuries one of which was to young gun Jacob Carmody who required medical assistance after a nasty neck injury. Whilst the injury was serious, we are happy to report Jacob is recovering ok. Also, in the casualty ward is joint captain/coach Alex Stewart who suffered a bad gash to his lip requiring many stitches. Alex is still recovering from an arm injury and whilst he has the heart of a lion, the modelling career may be in hold for a while.

LEAGUE TAG
The Roverettes produced one of their best games of the season in defeating Binalong by 26-4 to keep their semi finals chances flickering.
The girls were sensational in producing a sublime first half to lead 20-0. They may have taken the foot of the pedal in the second Stanza, but to their credit Binalong tried hard all day.
The girls will have to win their remaining two games at the very least to play finals football but their never say die attitude has been impressive all season.
- BOOROWA 26 (Mackella Pye 3 Jessica Hoare 1, Amanda Noakes 1 try, Georgia Murray 2 goals) defeated BINALONG 4 (Marnie Pack try).
The three points for the day went to both Amanda Noakes and Mackella Pye, two points went to Jess Hoare and one point to both Marlie McIntosh and Larissa Corcoran. The players' player went to Mackella Pye.
