Young Mobile Play coordinator Sharen Shoard says the event is growing each year with about 300 people attending this year's event.
A number of different activities were on offer including rock painting, boomerang making, necklace making and face painting.
Sharen Shoard said it was a great day for the kids to enjoy.
"Schools come along and perform a dance, display art work or tell a story," Sharen Shoard said.
Young North Public School principal Ange Gay said she enjoys "embracing the community".
"We love embracing the community and we have the facilities to do it," she said.
An opening ceremony was held at 11am with a free sausage sizzle wrapping up the day about 1pm.
