Changeover Chairperson, Lion Barry Miller welcomed everyone, including 1st Vice District Governor Elect Lion Stuart and his wife Lion Lyn Freudenstein from Young, members of the Lions Clubs of Canowindra, Grenfell, Young and Cowra and Rotarian/Assistant Governor Julie Poplin from Boorowa plus recipients of disbursements.
Zone 5 Chairman Terry Carroll did the Acknowledgment to Country, whilst Incoming Zone 5 Chairman proposed the Toast to Lions International.
The Changeover and Installation of the New Board was performed by 1st Vice District Governor, Lion Stuart Freudenstein.

The new Board for 2019-2020 being President Roger Stewart, Vice President and Safety Officer Barry Miller, Membership Mandy Miles, Secretary and Bulletin Editor Marilyn Miller, Treasurer Bernadette Taylor, Lion Tamer/Collection of used specs and noticeboard Ray Turner, Driver Reviver Committee Barry Miller, Ray Turner and Denise Evans, Ronald McDonald House Collection Chris Stewart, Lion Mints Denise Evans, Directors Alex Fox and Roz Hewitt, Lions at Large Tammy Cameron and Carmen Gordon.
In his President's report, Roger Stewart said while the Boorowa club is not big in terms of numbers, members do plenty of hard work in the community.
"What we lack in numbers, we make up for in energy," he said.
Mr Stewart then outlined the activities for the year, including Woolfest and Driver Reviver.
"The club has four main functions each year, the main one being Woolfest," he said.
"For Woolfest this year, the club will be running the barbecue as a joint project with Can-Assist members from Boorowa and Young.
"Without this assistance, our Woolfest barbecue would not happen.
"The Club also runs a Driver Reviver Van. We had to retire the old van and purchased a 'new' second-hand van which we obtained with the assistance from the NSW Infrastructure Grants Program.
"This van was purchased from the Morisset Lions Club and I wish to say a special thank you to Lions Carmen Gordon and Tammy Cameron for all their hard work they had put into obtaining the grant from the NSW Government.
"The Driver Reviver van has the potential to be our main income earner. Easy to run, little overhead, putting Lions name out there and as we are an "old" club - easier work for our members."
He also spoke about the work done with rural charity BlazeAid.
"This charity helps farmers and local communities when a natural disaster occurs, by supplying free labour for new fencing," he said.
"Again, we helped run a barbecue and served food at the evening meals. This ran over a period of one month and was a joint effort with Rotary and other service clubs.
"In closing, I wish to thank all members past and present for all the work you have put into our club over the past twelve months."
A total of $9440 in donations were made over the past twelve months including donations to:
- Ian Randolph - Burrowa House $2000
- Deidre Carroll - Lions Nurses Scholarship Foundation $500
- Mandy Miles - Boorowa Cadets $500 and
- David Evans - Boorowa Community Garden $250 which were presented at the Changeover.
