The stewards reviewed the collected scores and by a very long neck Greg Thurtell won the May monthly trophy. His score of 103 raised some eyebrows so the stewards were called in Correct weight was declared and Daryl Murphy came in second on 97 with veteran Don Hansen on a creditable 84 running third.

Club selector Des Grimson is now calling for pairs to play in the club pairs championship. Nominations close on the 15th of June.
This weeks three bowl social competition was a very close affair. John Dymock won the day on 29 points closely followed by Richard Platt and Colin Good on 26. We play again this Thursday at 12.30pm. As it is becoming cold late in the evening, play will start right on the advertised time.
