The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research's quarterly update to March 2019 shows no major changes in crime across the board.
The biggest drop in the past 12 months has been the rate of sexual assaults.
In the year to March 2018, there were 38 reported cases of sexual assault in the Hilltops, while there were only 22 in the past year.
There has also been a reduction in the number of motor vehicle theft cases.
There was 24 incidents of motor vehicle theft in the past 12 months, compared to 38 to the year March 2018.
There has been a similar decrease in the number of break and enters (non-dwellings) and malicious damage to property cases.
While malicious damage to property is the most common type of crime committed in the Hilltops LGA, a common trend across the Central West, cases have fallen from 223 to 210 in the last 12 months.
Break and enters (non-dwellings) have also been reduced by 13 cases, from 38 in the year to March 2018 to 25 in the past year.
Steal from motor vehicle and indecent assault rates have also fallen, going from 66 to 55 and 40 down to 30 respectively.
Reported fraud cases have also dropped by eight in the past 12 months, from 72 to 64.
There has been no significant increase in other types of crime, with the highest rate change coming from cases of steal from retail store.
The number of reported cases as 33 in the year to March 2018, while 42 cases were reported in the last 12 months.
There were two more cases for non-domestic violence related assaults (98 to 100), steal from dwelling (68 to 70) and steal from person (0 to two) in the past 12 months.
There was one fewer case of robbery without a weapon (2 to 1) and break and enter from a dwelling (50 to 49).
Rates of domestic violence related assault and robbery with a weapon (not a firearm) remained the same in the past 24 months, while there were no recorded robberies with a firearm or murders.
