A collection of works by a group of local and visiting Indigenous Artists who have come together to share their culture will feature in the "Ngurra" Exhibition presented by the Young Society of Artists from June 29.
The exhibition celebrates NAIDOC Week and the Year of Indigenous Languages. Official opening is on June 29 at 11am.
The current exhibition features the art of Young Society of Artists members.
Murringo Concert
A concert in the village hall is planned by the Murringo Progress Association, who are supported by Young Regional School of Music in bringing Sydney Band, "Big Merino" to the region.
The event is being held in the Murringo Hall on Friday June 28 from 6.30pm with nibbles, dinner, desert platters and tea and coffee.
The band will play original songs, country, blues, roots, soul and pop!
The opening act is the Murringo Public School Rock Band. Tickets are $20 adults and $15 children. Gina Galvin (63 84 6351) has tickets and more details.
Music & Trivia
Young Bowling Club is offering two events over the next month, with a 'Music and Movie Trivia Night' on Saturday June 22 to aid CanAssist and a band performing in early July. Harold Holt & the Sharks will entertain on Saturday July 6 from 7.30pm. Bookings for both events at the club on 6382 1112.

June 22 - Movie Night screening "Breakthrough", Southern Cross Cinema, Young, 5pm. The $15 tickets are available at the door. (Fundraisers for SRE at Young High School).
June 22 and 23 - Memoir Writing Workshop, Young Services Club, 1pm to 5pm both days. Place your name on the list at Young Library.
June 23 - Cherry Capital Country Music Association's Music Muster, Harden Bowling Club from 1pm to 5pm. Walk up artists welcome.
June 27 - "Business for Breakfast" networking event at Jacksons Bakery, Harden. Guest speaker is Hilltops General Manager Dr Edwina Marks. A Harden Murrumburrah Regional Development Corporation ticketed event.
