The two organisations are teaming up for a special NSW Farmers round on Saturday, June 15 when the Goldies take on the Young Yabbies at the Boorowa Showground.
NSW Farmers Yass Branch Chair, Carolina Merriman, said many farmers turn to footy as a reprieve from everyday life.
"When I became elected as the chair for the Yass branch of NSW Farmers, one of my goals is to provide and support the younger farming generation," she said.
"It's one of the things that I thought is a common purpose to many farmers is a sporting activity.
"It destresses them, it takes their mind off the situation at hand and it gives them time out."
She said NSW Farmers is looking into new ways to support farmers, including utilising the social and physical benefits of sport.
"There is time where they can go out and speak to likeminded farmers like them, whether that be through a game of footy or just watching a game of footy," she said.
"I've also been trying to get NSW Farmers out there to adapt to new ways, adapt to the changing times and support."
Ms Merriman said the Goldies jumped on board with the idea straight away .
"They thought it would be something that would really benefit the broader community," she said.
"What we are hoping to achieve is to have a day where we bring farmers and the community together, so everyone has a common purpose of supporting each different rugby team, whether that be Young or Boorowa.
"We want to bring people out so they can talk to one another."
