As part of ongoing familiarisation days Hilltops tourism and events staff and volunteers from Young, Harden and Boorowa toured some accommodation outlets and tourist attractions in Young and its environs on Thursday.

This follows a similar inspection of places of interest in Harden, Jugiong and Boorowa last year.
National Camellia Show
The National Camellia Show held in conjunction by the Hume Camellia Society and the Uniting Church Fellowship 's Young Camellia Spectacular at Young in August.
Seventy to eighty delegates from around Australia are heading for the town for the event, to be held on Friday and Saturday, August 23 and 24.
A camellia show has been held in Young for many years, with some excellent camellias on display. Vicky Burstall on 6383 33234 is the contact.
New Hilltops Market
Koorawatha is the latest village to announce the establishment of regular markets in the Hilltops region.
The Koorawatha Progress Association plans to hold markets on the fifth Saturday of the month - in June, August and November.

Wombat Swap Meet over two days of June long weekend
The Wombat Hotel Social Group and Wombat Progress Association are again presenting the Wombat Swap Meet at Wagembah Oval over the June long weekend, June 8 and 9.
The program includes a Show'N'Shine at 10am on the Saturday.
Stall holders are invited to book on 6384 3206.
New Visitor Centre
Harden Murrumburrah residents with local knowledge are wanted to help man the new visitor centre to be launched soon in the twin towns.
The centre will be chiefly staffed by volunteers and open seven days from 10am to 4pm.
The organising committee is seeking people who would like to volunteer.
Volunteers will work in twos and can nominate involvement levels.

Coach Service Changes
Transport NSW Trainlink trial lunchtime Young to Cootamundra coach service has been discontinued due to low patronage.
The last service was on Sunday May 12.
The separate, original service which leaves from Young to Cootamundra at 11.35am from the Visitor Centre and returns from Cootamundra at 3.35pm will remain.

May 18 - Young Turf Club Meeting, Toompang Racecourse, Milvale Road.

May 19 - Handmade in Harden Murrumburrah Community Markets, at Murrumburrah Courthouse, 9am to 2pm.
May 24 - Take 5 on Friday with Boorowa performer Bede Morrissey, 12.30pm to 1.00pm, all welcome.
May 24 - Official opening of the Harden Murrumburrah Camera Club photographic competition at 7.30pm at the Courthouse Murrumburrah. The exhibition is then open for viewing over the weekend of May 25/26.
