While the faces may be different, the passion, determination and sense of community and family has been at the forefront of the Boorowa Rugby Club for the past five decades.
This year, the team affectionately known as the Goldies, celebrates 50 years and Club President Justin Fleming says the celebration of this milestone is more than just about the footy.
"We're excited about the milestone and it deserves wholehearted celebration," he said.
"It's been a good 50 years of rugby but also 50 years of a good bush rugby community.
"The 50 year anniversary is not only about the players but also about the supporters, sponsors, coaches and committee people and even the opposition, as well as the administration bodies that have run the comp over the years."
Mr Fleming said the success of the club today wouldn't exist without the work done by the Goldies' forefathers and mothers.
"The culture, sense of community and inclusiveness can be attributed to the founders of the club putting as much focus on off-field enjoyment as they did on on-field performance. The founders and those who came later nurtured this rugby community and because they did, the club has always been healthy and vibrant, irrespective of on field results," he said.
"I sat down with Eddie Corcoran, Joe McGuiness and Peter Sheridan a little while ago and they were telling me about when they designed the emblem... The mug of beer on the emblem does of course symbolise the fact they we enjoy a drink but there is more to it than that. It was put there to represent the importance of fellowship and community."
The 50 year reunion will be held on Saturday, May 25 and Mr Fleming says hundreds are expected to join in the celebrations.
"We're really excited about it, I think we've got about 350 guests confirmed at this stage," he said.
"We've got some of the players from West Wyalong, who we take on that day, staying. Some of the players from Bowral who are playing our Old Boys team are also staying.
"This occasion is going to bring a lot of people together to celebrate the club, catch up, enjoy a drink and tell a few yarns."
And as for the on-field performance, good results are expected to continue with the Goldies starting the year with four wins from five games.
"We're really happy with our move to the new comp, we've got good player numbers, and we are playing well," Mr Fleming said.
"We would excited anyway but the fact that it's the 50th year and we are hitting our straps and playing well adds to the excitement."
