In the preliminary rounds, Shane Foote won over Charlie Sorgsepp 31-22, while Graham Jenkins defeated John Piper 33-14.
Tim Bonfield survived in a hard struggle against Mark Dwyer, 28-21, and Greg Thurtell accounted for Brock Ritchie 31-18.
The Semis saw Shane Foote defeat Graham Jenkins 31-8 and Greg Thurtell won his match against Tim Bonfield 31-17. In the final Shane was too strong for Greg, winning 31-17.
On separate rinks the semis of the district seniors singles were played. Terry McDonald beat Robert Styles, and in the other semi Des Grimson and Peter Watts battled for over three hours to eventually see Peter win 31-21.
In the afternoon final, Terry McDonald won over Peter Watts 32-28.
Now back to social bowls and the monthly results were announced on Thursday with John Piper winning the trophy with an impressive 92 points. Father and son Greg and Nev Thurtell tied for second on a distant 78 points with President John Crowe third on 77.
There was an Easter competition for three bowl mixed triples, played on Easter Monday, with the strong team of Maureen Westbury, Alex Fox and Dick Mattress taking the chocolates.
In last Thursday's social bowls Nev Thurtell won the day on 28 points. There was a tie for second between John Piper and Ned Kelly on 26.
Social bowls are on this Thursday at 12.30pm. New bowlers and visitors are all welcome.
Garry Dwyer returns in good form
At last Thursday's social bowls Garry Dwyer after a short period of illness returned to win the trophy with a solid 26 points.
He was closely followed by two regular bowlers in second place . Veteran Colin Good and well performed Greg Thurtell ran second on 25.
The green is running well and the weather is kind so all are welcome next Thursday at 12.30pm.
