CycleLifeHQ Global Operations Manager, Anna Gurnhill, believes the Hilltops shire could take a place on the world stage of bicycle tourism.

The Canberra-based tourism company has previously completed projects locally and internationally and is now getting underway in Hilltops.
Ms Gurnhill said the project aimed to attract more visitors, benefiting local businesses and the economy.
"There is currently a growing trend in the bicycle industry for 'gravel riding' on country roads," she said.
"Hilltops Council has engaged CycleLifeHQ to help identify opportunities; map ride routes; engage local businesses to attract more bicycle tourists; and develop and undertake a marketing and communications program.
"There will be a focus on the region's country gravel and sealed roads for cyclists looking for half day to full and multi-day cycling experiences," she said.
Ms Gurnhill said the program would look at a number of attributes business could implement to help attract cyclists.
"Simple and low-cost initiatives such as allowing cyclists to refill water bottles, access bathroom facilities, and install secure bike racks at their premises," she said.
"It is likely there will be a number of new business ventures identified to expand the region's offerings for cyclists."
Hilltops Council is inviting interested parties to attend workshops to hear more about the project and how they can be involved. There are three workshops:
- Workshop 1: Young Chambers Monday, May 20, 7pm to 8:30pm
- Workshop 2: Boorowa Chambers Tuesday, May 21, 7pm to 8:30pm
- Workshop 3: Harden Chambers Wednesday, May 22, 7am to 8:30am
