Hilltops Community Hub Manager, Naomi Peters, said the day was a great success.
"We've been doing this in Young for the last six years," she said.
"It's something to get people out using the facilities and having family time, that's why we came up with it originally.
"But it was great to come somewhere different and do it," she said.
Ms Peters said the children didn't take long to find the over 800 eggs that were hidden.
"The feedback was all really positive, the kids were amazing," she said.
"We gave them all an Easter bag and off they went on the hunt, which didn't take long at all, they found them all in no time."
Ms Peters said they were now looking at holding the hunt and parade in Harden for 2020 and alternating towns each year to host it.
