The concert, which has been conducted in Boorowa annually since 2015, provides outstanding entertainment, with a feast of splendid choir singing.
This year the choirs on the programme are the Australian Rugby Choir (Canberra), the Gospel Folk Choir (Canberra), the Hilltops Choir (Young), Maisie's Choir (Yass), and the M&D Society Choir (Boorowa).
The choirs will perform in the outstanding venue provided by St Patrick's Catholic Church.
A series of classical, semi-classical and popular items will be performed, during a programme which is expected to run for approximately 90 minutes.
Choirs will gather for rehearsals at 12 noon and the concert itself will begin at 2pm.
If there is an expected audience overflow, some outside seating will be provided, and the organisers are hoping for a fine, sunny day.
Admission is by donation, and patrons are urged to be generous, in view of the wonderful work done by Can Assist in helping individuals and families in the Young-Boorowa district facing the stressful experience of undergoing treatment for cancer.
Can Assist can provide financial support for the many ancillary expenses incurred in the process of treatment of a family member such as telephone, accommodation and travelling costs etc.
The Boorowa community has already been very generous during the two days of ticket selling which Can Assist members have conducted.
The prize for this raffle is $440 worth of accommodation at the Carrington Hotel, Katoomba, with a $100 fuel card, making the whole package worth a total of $540.
The winner in this raffle will be drawn at the conclusion of the Songs of Hope concert.
Concert patrons are advised to come early in order to secure a seat for what is certain to be a wonderful afternoon of song.
