The teams will be playing against the UC Grizzlies in round one under the banner of the Chris Turner Memorial Shield, in tribute to the former Rover and Grizzlies player, with the event's proceeds going towards not-for-profit organisation Beyond Blue, which specialises in educating Australians about the impacts that stress, anxiety and depression can have on mental health.

The round one encounter comes after a successful pre-season gala for the Rovers and Roverettes at Boorowa Showgrounds, with both teams competing strongly on the day, before respective losses to men's Group 10 Premiers, the Bathurst Panthers and the North Canberra Bears.
The former went on to win the men's competition, while the latter lost to the Harden Hawkettes in the League Tag final.
Additionally, both Boorowa teams are also looking to build from finals appearances in the 2018 season.
Saturday's matches, which are at home, start at 3pm, with the Roverettes taking on the Grizzlies in League Tag, while their male counterparts will kick-off their league match at 4pm.
