The group meets in a stimulating, newly renovated space, once a month, where the focus is on what each writer wishes to accomplish.
Whilst they meet at 6pm on Thursday, March 28, if there's enough starters they're hoping to begin a day time program at 1pm (on the same day) at the Murrumburrah Court House, at the corner of Vernon and Albury Streets, Murrumbarrah.
Our group is dedicated to encouraging as many people as possible to become passionate about their writing so it is for that reason we ascertain each person's preferred choice/s.
So far our group has evolved into three clusters:
- the play writing group,
- the beginners' group and
- those who'd like to write their family history.
If you wish to concentrate on another genre please let us know and we'll try our best to design a suitable program.
As writer Louis L'Amour wrote:
"Start writing, no matter what. The water does not flow until the facet is turned on".
Tea and coffee-making facilities are available however we usually bring along a dish to share as we either dine together or various folk like to eat while they work.
The entry fee (which covers electricity plus other expenses) is $2 for members and $3 for non-members and membership is $5 per year.
