Police stopped a black Holden Commodore on the Lachlan Valley Way at Boorowa about 6.20pm on Friday, March 8.
The 24-year-old NSW driver produced a suspended licence before police located more than $6000 on one of the three passengers.
Police charged the driver for driving suspended and issued an infringement notice and a defect notice for driving with a number of bald tyres.
The male passenger remains under investigation by police, who are expected to charge him with dealing with proceeds of crime, police said.
The driver will appear at court at a later date.
