The host country this year will be Slovenia, and the theme: ’Come - Everything is ready.’
The theme stems from the Gospel parable of the dinner to which people off the street must be invited, as those originally invited have excused themselves.
Slovenia is a tiny European country nestled between the Alps and the Adriatic sea.
The entire country boasts wonderful landscapes.
It is popular with tourists, as it is easy to navigate, with English spoken almost everywhere.
Slovenia is also one of the safest countries in the world, and one of the cleanest.
The World Day of prayer is observed in over 170 countries and is a movement to bring together people of various races, cultures and traditions in a yearly common expression of prayer, fellowship, understanding and action throughout the year.
The service, in St John’s Anglican Church will begin at 2pm, all are welcome, and the service will be followed by afternoon tea in St John’s Hall.
