The two clubs will be playing off for Annalee McGuigan Shield, headlining a eight hour gala of rugby that will bring together 11 different rugby club from across the state while simultaneously raising money for the Ronald McDonald House in Randwick.
The shield is named in honour of Harden child Annalee McGuigan, who passed away after fighting a rare and aggressive form of brain tumour, and whose parents, Troy and Lauran, both have a long history of involvement in the Boorowa and Canberra townships.
Both of Annalee's parents spent a lot of time at the Ronald McDonald House while Annalee was being treated in hospital, with the funds being raised in recognition of the role the House plays in helping "country families with seriously ill children".
Some clubs are even sending multiple teams for the day, with Sydney's Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club sending four men's teams - colts, thirds, fourths and fifths - and a women's side to compete.
Meanwhile, relative neighbours like Young, Goulburn and Crookwell will participate throughout the day, while teams from Blayney, Wagga Wagga, Grenfell and Parkes will also make longer to trips take part, bringing a huge amount of foot traffic into Boorowa.
Teams are encouraged to get down to the Boorowa Goldies' sponsor, the Boorowa Hotel, at the end of the evening's presentations and all-team boat race.
Next Saturday's action kicks off at 10.30am, with 25 minute halves and no half-time break being adopted for the day to ensure every team gets multiple hit-outs.
