Nixon family victorious in Boorowa Flock Ewe competition

Narelle and Bruce Nixon of "Clovelly" have taken out this year's Flock Ewe competition. 

They were announced as the winners on Saturday at the Boorowa Show. 

The final placings on the day were:

  • Second place: DK. and KF. McGrath from Clear View South, Boorowa
  • Third place: Dymock Agricultural from Macclesfield, Boorowa
  • Fourth place: Bill Hurley from Old Killanear, Boorowa
  • Fifth place: Clearview Partnership of Clear View, Boorowa

The Joyce Mason Encouragement Award went to the Stanley family and the Springwaters Duel Purpose Award went to the Dymocks. 

The Nixon and McGrath families will now take part in the regional competition on March 15 where they will compete against the winners from Gunning, Taralga and Crookwell for the Southern Tablelands Flock Ewe Championship title.
