Mrs Tuckerman said she was shocked to learn of Pru Goward’s retirement and she’s been humbled by her support.
“Pru Goward has delivered an extraordinary range of achievements for the Goulburn electorate as is evident in the Boorowa region,” she said.
“She leaves a wonderful legacy and big shoes to fill.”
She said she has had a lot of support from Boorowa residents.
“I have been inundated with messages and phone calls of congratulations and support which has only made me more determined,” Mrs Tuckerman said.
Mrs Tuckerman said her focus will be on water security for Boorowa.
“A lot of work is currently being done in conjunction with Council to get this over the line and continues to be my number one priority,” she said.
“I will be listening to members of the community about their needs.”
When asked about the comparatively shorter campaign timeframe due the announcement of Ms Goward's retirement, Mrs Tuckerman said she will work hard in the lead up to Election Day.
“I will fight to ensure the regions are well represented, well funded and things are getting done,” she said.
