Five Boorowa residents have been recognised for their community service with awards at the Australia Day ceremony last Saturday.
Mary Corcoran received the Len and Joan Oxley Memorial Award in recognition of the many years of service to the Boorowa community.
“It would be easier to say what she hasn’t been involved in,” President of the Boorowa Australia Day Committee, John Snelling said.
Robert Croker was also recognised for his dedication and many years of service to Boorowa Show Society and the Irish Woolfest Quick Shear.
Judy McGuiness, who also received a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow award, was given a community award for services to the Boorowa Hospital Auxiliary and Local Health Advisory Committee.
Angus Clements and Maree Adams also received awards in appreciation for their extensive community service across different groups.
Congratulations to the award winners.
