Presented in an informal atmosphere, the contribution provided by the participants always attract an audience of enthusiastic followers.
This will be the 28th year in which the Balladeers have entertained a Boorowa audience.
‘The sound of the Real Australia,’ is the proud boast made by the organizers of this regular activity of Australia Day in Boorowa.
As usual the programme will consist of poems and yarns with an emphasis on Australian content. Original compositions are especially welcome.
A number of regular performers have already indicated that they will take part in the afternoon’s presentation, but there is always room for a few more.
Anyone who would like to participate can contact Derrick Mason by phoning 6385 3213 or 0427 853 213 or email derrickmason@bigpond.com
You will be very welcome to be part of Balladeers 2019.
In 2015 the Balladeers spread their wings and began the promotion of a choir concert in April, in conjunction with the Boorowa M&D Society.
Now known as Songs of Hope, which this year will be conducted in St Patrick’s Church on April 14, raises valuable funds for the Young-Boorowa Branch of Can Assist.
But the Balladeers performance on Australia Day is ‘first cab off the rank’.
Entry is by donation, which covers advertising and associated costs.
