There were 26 teams in attendance, coming from far and wide. The competition was over two games of 15 ends.
Belconnen Bowling Club sent four teams to compliment eight teams from the Boorowa Ex-Services Club.
Other clubs that were represented included Young, Cowra, Woodstock, and Bribbaree, as well as Cootamundra Country and Grenfell.
The winning team on the day came from Belconnen and was captained by Pat Kenny, while a local team from Boorowa Recreation Club skippered by Phil Johnson came in second place.
The $50 meat tray was won by Mick Tuckerman while the giant raffle containing mostly Christmas goodies went to Richard Manning.
President John Crowe thanked all teams for coming.
He added a big thank you to all his volunteers for their work on the green over the past 12 months.
Down to more local matters, last Thursday’s social bowls competition was won in a tie between John Snelling and Leon Downey on 26 points.
Don Henson was second on 24 points while Garry Dwyer and John Piper shared third on 20 points.
As this was the last game for November the monthly consistency was awarded, with a Colin Good a run away winner on 103 points. Garry Dwyer was second, followed by Leon Downey in third.
