Winning the trophy was the team of Michael Tuckerman and Robert Dunwoodie, while Greg Atkins and Rob Gorham's team was runner up.
A club trophy was also contested on the 24th of November as a stableford competition.
Danny Cassells won the day on a count back from Phil Johnston, both of whom finished with 36 points.
Last Saturday, on the first of December, Danny Cassells again won the club trophy with 38 points this round. Equal runners up were Roger Green and Phil Johnston each with 37 points.
A special mention goes to Chris Bales, a frequent, and always welcome visitor to Boorowa golf, who on the tenth hole blasted a monster 310 metre drive. Wouldn't we all like to be able to do that?
A Christmas party invitation is extended to golf and bowls club members and their families on Saturday the 15th of December commencing at 5 pm. Please RSVP by the 12th of December.

Bowls
The Boorowa Ex-Services Bowls Club held a very successful President’s day last Sunday.
There were 26 teams in attendance, coming from far and wide. The competition was over two games of 15 ends. Belconnen Bowling Club sent four teams to compliment eight teams from the Boorowa Ex-Services Club. Other clubs that were represented included Young, Cowra, Woodstock, and Bribbaree, as well as Cootamundra Country and Grenfell.
The winning team on the day came from Belconnen and was captained by Pat Kenny, while a local team from Boorowa Recreation Club skippered by Phil Johnson came in second place.
The $50 meat tray was won by Mick Tuckerman while the giant raffle containing mostly Christmas goodies went to Richard Manning.
President John Crowe thanked all teams for coming. He added a big thank you to all his volunteers for their work on the green over the past 12 months.
Down to more local matters, last Thursday’s social bowls competition was won in a tie between John Snelling and Leon Downey on 26 points. Don Henson was second on 24 points while Garry Dwyer and John Piper shared third on 20 points.
As this was the last game for November the monthly consistency was awarded, with a Colin Good a run away winner on 103 points. Garry Dwyer was second, followed by Leon Downey in third.
