The money raised from this event will go towards the refurbishment of the Nurses’ Home in the Hospital Complex.
This building was opened in 1927 and was untouched by the fire at the hospital.
The Nurse’s Home is currently the accommodation used for Agency Nurses and the hospital relies on these nurses to keep the hospital running.
In its current condition, the accommodation is not up to today’s standards, enough to attract nurses to work in our hospital.
