Rotary, CWA host fashion parade to raise funds for farmers

A wonderful afternoon was had by all who attended the Boorowa Recreation Club for "Fashions for the Farmers".

The event was a joint project of the Boorowa Rotary Club and Boorowa CWA Branch.

The fashions were provided by the Boorowa Community Op Shop.

The afternoon kicked off with a range of children's fashions, wonderfully modelled by a very eager group of local children.

A big thank you goes out to our young budding fashionistas.

A quiz, followed by afternoon tea, allowed to guests time to relax before the adults got to the floor to present a fabulous range of fashions available at the Op Shop.

The highlight of the show was a very special display of a complete wedding party, complete with bride, bridesmaid, groom and pageboy.

A huge thank you must go to all the models who took part on what can only be described as a beautiful afternoon.

The afternoon raised $540 for each of the two organisations, which will be disbursed to their respective drought appeals.

The afternoon was MC'd by Rotarian Sharon Meere who did a splendid job.

Music was provided by Peter Lewin and Sarah Caldwell, who provided a great arrangement of songs.

A wonderful afternoon tea was enjoyed by all, courtesy of the Boorowa CWA thanks to Carmen Gordon and her fantastic team of family, friends and volunteers.
