Fr. Tom Thornton presided over the Mass, assisted by Deacon Patrick Whales.
It was a very special moment in their faith journey and certainly one they will never forget.
Each child had a special part to play within the roles of the Mass and did so with great respect and reverence.
During the Consecration, the children were invited to stand around the altar with Fr. Tom, and witness up close this very special part of the Mass.
Later, and for their first time, they then joined the community in receiving the Blessed Sacrament.
The parents would especially like to thank Mr Paul Corcoran and Mrs Gail Grimson for their assistance and guidance with the children’s preparations and organisation of this important event in their children’s lives.
Thank you also to all of the community for your prayers and support throughout this wonderful journey.
