The team at the Op Shop celebrated the occasion with an afternoon tea held at the Superb Bakery Boorowa on Sunday, July 29.
All Rotarians and volunteers as well as supporters of the Op shop joined in a fantastic afternoon celebration of the first year of operation.
Lyn Diskon and Chris Hall were invited to cut the birthday cake.
These two ladies were the original driving force behind the concept for an Op shop to replace the previous closed St. Vincent De Paul store.
In keeping with the traditional Op Shop, the fit-out is of low fuss and made up of bits and pieces donated by the local community and presents a quaint vintage haven for all.
Funds raised from this Rotary initiative are to be shared among the local community groups and organisations that assist in the shop.
Congratulations to the Boorowa Community Op Shop on their first birthday.
